Our Story

United Community Foundation

Founded in 2019, United Community Foundation (UCF) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to expanding access to quality health and educational opportunities for underserved communities in Texas. Guided by a commitment to equity and social justice, UCF works tirelessly to bridge gaps in resources for those facing socioeconomic challenges, lack of insurance, or limited access to care. Over the past five years, we have partnered with local organizations in Harris and Fort Bend Counties to ensure that vulnerable populations receive the support they need to thrive.

At UCF, we believe that everyone deserves the chance to live a healthy, fulfilling life, regardless of their background or financial circumstances. Our programs are designed to respond to the unique needs of the communities we serve, combining compassion with evidence-based practices to create real, measurable impact. We are driven by a passion to empower individuals and families, giving them tools, knowledge, and resources to take control of their health and their future.

In healthcare, UCF provides preventive and primary care services, including general and mental health screenings, vaccinations, and chronic disease management programs. By partnering with local healthcare providers and agencies, we expand access to essential care and support initiatives that address pressing health concerns, from diabetes and hypertension to mental health and affordable medications. Every service we provide is delivered with dignity, professionalism, and the same high standards of care we would expect for our own families.

Education is another cornerstone of our mission. UCF empowers individuals with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed academically and professionally. Through mentorship programs, vocational training, scholarship referrals, and skill-building opportunities, we help students and adults from low-income backgrounds pursue their aspirations and make meaningful contributions to society. By addressing both health and education, UCF fosters resilient, thriving communities that are stronger today and ready for a brighter tomorrow.
